Day 1

San Jose: Arrive

Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival at the airport, your driver will be waiting to take you to your centrally located hotel.
Day 2

Quepos: Manuel Antonio

Drive through Costa Rica’s Central-Pacific region on the way to Manuel Antonio, a beach-side town on the way to the highly rated national park. The park itself boasts lush tropical rainforest and one of Costa Rica’s best rated beaches. Have an early dinner to catch stunning sunset views over the coast-line.

Day 3

Quepos: Manuel Antonio

Meet your naturlist guide and head into the park early this morning for your best chance to spot wildlife like the elusive squirrel monkey only found in Manuel Antonio. In the afternoon enjoy beautiful beaches or optional activities like surfing, horse-back riding or whale-watching (Aug-Dec.).


Day 4

Monteverde: Cloud-Forest

Head back up the coast a make your way up the green mountain to Monteverde, enjoying intense views and the odd rainbow or two on the way. Arrive in time for lunch in the clouds as Monteverde sits at over 1400m above sea level. After a relaxing afternoon, an exciting expedition through the nocturnal forest awaits you. Listen to the sounds of the cloud-forest come to live at night as your guide spots interesting creatures who only come out at night.
Day 5

Monteverde: Cloud-Forest

Monteverde is a beautiful chilled mountain town right in the centre of the continental divide, making it a nature-lover’s haven with over 400 bird species, 100 mammals and over 2,500 plant species. Enjoy a free day on hiking trails inside protected nature reserves, or on Costa Rica’s best quad-biking and horseback riding trails just outside of town, and let’s not forget Monteverde is also home to Latin America’s longest zipline and biggest bungee jump.
Day 6

La Fortuna: Arenal Volcano

Enjoy the countryside views on your way to La Fortuna. Todays travel day includes crossing Lake Arenal with close-up views of the iconic volcano straight ahead. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon exploration of the town, or optional activity.
Day 7

La Fortuna: Arenal Volcano

Wake up in Costa Rica’s epicentre of Adventure! Set out into nature on your early morning birdwatching tour before discovering what was recently the world’s most active volcano, or perhaps rappel down waterfalls while exploring hidden canyons. Don’t miss out on La Fortuna waterfall, a dip in its refreshing blue pool will be well deserved. The opportunities for adventure and relaxation in this little town are endless.
Day 8

Tortuguero: National Park

Today’s travel day includes a relaxing boat ride through impressive canals before arriving at your secluded eco-lodge for a rest before heading out to spot sea turtle’s nesting along the beach (seasonal from July-October).
Day 9

Tortuguero: National Park

No trip to Tortuguero is complete without a visit to the National Park, a canal system made up of lush rainforest and intense mangroves home to species like the spectacled caiman, river turtles, monkeys, sloths and an array of birdlife. Spend the afternoon in the sleepy Caribbean town enjoying the local cuisine or exploring the few local artisans around town.
Day 10

Puerto Viejo: Caribbean Sea

One last ride on the canals until you reach moin, the jumping off port to pristine beaches, endless wildlife and exotic Caribbean cuisine. Puerto Viejo, meaning old port is nestled in between Cahuita National Park and Manzanillo National wildlife refuge among lush forest and inviting coastline
Day 11 & 12

Puerto Viejo: Caribbean Sea

Explore the national park, snorkel the coral reef, visit a wildlife refuge, or spend time learning ancient traditions like chocolate making from nearby indigenous tribes.
Day 13

San Jose: Return

After a relaxing morning head back to San Jose to your centrally-located hotel for one last holiday meal before departure tomorrow.
Day 14

San Jose: Depart

Time to start planning your next trip back to Costa Rica. Departure transfer is included.
