Sitting just outside of Quepos, the small Damas Island is known for its diverse population of fauna and abundance of aquatic  activities. Located just 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park, Damas Island, is an ideal place to spot wildlife from the water. Weave through mangroves by boat or kayak, and you may catch a glimpse of white-faced monkeys, sloths, boas or one of the many bird species that populate the region. The water is filled with amazing creatures such as oysters, sponges, stingrays, baby black-tipped sharks and many large schools of fish. Your naturalist guide will point out interesting species while sharing the diverse flora and fauna of the region.

We pick you up from your hotel in Manuel Antonio and entertain with a few facts and history of Costa Rica during the short ride to the mangroves of Isla Las Damas.

Your professional guide will take you through the canals in search of white-faced monkeys (who sometimes get a little curious and greet us inside the boat), iguanas, bird life, marine life, reptiles and more. Along the way your guide will point out the interesting flora and fauna of the mangrove forest and wow you with interesting facts about this unique environment.

You will be amazed at the eagle eye of your guide, known to spot highly camouflaged creatures nestled into the branches of the mangrove.

Enjoy a delicious fresh lunch or dinner before we drive you back to your hotel.
