Day 2
Monteverde: Cloud-Forest
Head away from the hussle and bussle of the city and make your way up the green mountain to Monteverde. Arrive in time for lunch in the clouds, roughly 1400 m above sea level. After a relaxing afternoon, an exciting expedition through the nocturnal forest awaits you. Listen to the sounds of the cloud-forest come to live at night as your guide spots interesting creatures who only come out at night.
Day 3
Monteverde: Cloud-Forest
Monteverde is a beautiful chilled mountain town right in the centre of the continental divide, making it a nature-lover’s haven with over 400 bird species, 100 mammals and over 2,500 plant species. Enjoy a free day on hiking trails inside protected nature reserves, or on Costa Rica’s best quad-biking and horseback riding trails just outside of town, and let’s not forget Monteverde is also home to Latin America’s longest zipline and biggest bungee jump.
Day 4

Descend from the mountains of the continental divide before crossing flat plains on your way to Cordillera de Guanacaste (Guanacaste mountains), home to Rincon de la Vieja National Park made up of pristine tropical forests among an impressive collection of volcanic geological wonders. Enjoy a relaxing stay at your eco-hotel located at the foot of the National Park.
Day 5

Opt for a light stroll to nearby waterfalls or more extreme volcano hike around the national park or take an adrenaline filled ride down the Rio Negro in a white-water tubing adventure before relaxing in secluded mud baths and hot springs exclusive to hotel guests.
